Someone recreated P.T. In Half-Life: Alyx And It's As Terrifying As It Sounds
Just in case you'd forgotten that the Half-Life games are as much about horror as they are about shooting stuff, someone has taken the liberty of recreating the fan-favourite playable teaser in Valve's new VR masterpiece, Half-Life: Alyx.
"Fully recreated in the world of Half-Life: Alyx", modder AmbientDruth says they've added "almost everything that was in the original game" to the PC mod. Given it's playable entirely in virtual reality, it's safe to say it's an unsettling experience.
"I tried to play this... I had to quit cause I wimped out!!! LOL," admitted one player in the comments. The gameplay was great, it did [give] me the [chills], and the scary atmosphere was wonderful!" added another.
For those of you brave enough to take on P.T. in VR, AmbientDruth's mod is available now via the Steam Workshop.
Rumours of a Silent Hill reboot have been swirling for a while now, but the latest report might just be the most exciting one yet. According to new, relatively credible sources, Silent Hill is reportedly coming back in the form of a Silent Hills revival for PS5. Silent Hills was, of course, the doomed collaboration between Konami, Hideo Kojima, and Guillermo del Toro.

Unfortunately, all we ever really saw of it before Kojima and Konami's infamous falling-out was 2014's P.T., or Playable Teaser. But that short, harrowing demo created such a lasting-impact that fans, hackers, and modders are still playing it to this day in search of new secrets.
All of this also seems to line up rather nicely with everything Kojima has been teasing recently. We know he wants his next project to be a horror game, and that he's been in talks to work with Norman Reedus again, who appeared at the end of P.T. Fans also managed to convince themselves that a tweet from the developer was confirmation of a new Silent Hill game.
Have you played Half-Life: Alyx yet? The consensus seems to be that virtual reality finally has a story-driven game that is absolutely essential, and manages to tick every box. What a shame there are quite a few of us that are still some way off being able to afford a headset and a PC that would run the game well enough.
