Spec Ops Co-Op Mode Confirmed For ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’

Spec Ops Co-Op Mode Confirmed For ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’

It's not just Call of Duty's name that's gone back in time for 2019, as the October-due Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - announced (well, confirmed after so many rumours) at the end of May - will also include a mode not seen in the series since 2011.

Spec Ops is a co-op mode that was last featured in 2011's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. So, what with this new one sort of being MW4, I guess it makes sense that it's back? I don't know, it's late and I'm out of biscuits and E3 has pretty much destroyed me and it's only a few hours old so... At this point, I'm not even sure what these words mean, any more.

'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Developer Responds To Complaints Over Update Sizes

Okay, okay, back in the game. Which Spec Ops most certainly is - oh, you see what I did there, huh. Infinity Ward revealed that it was to be a part of the new Modern Warfare during an E3 presentation on YouTube, adding that it's "Spec Ops like you've never seen before".

Also confirmed was the fact that the campaign of Modern Warfare - the 2019 one, that is - will be connected to the events of Spec Ops. Additionally, weapons and equipment are the same across all modes of play in the new game, which releases for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 25.

No zombies in this one, remember. No zombies. Righto, what time is it? Is Bethesda on, yet?
