'Super Mario 64', 'Sunshine' And 'Galaxy' HD Come To Nintendo Switch This Month

After what feels like several decades worth of rumours and speculation, Nintendo has finally confirmed that multiple classic Super Mario titles will be making their way to Nintendo Switch as part of the plumber's 30th anniversary celebrations.

While there's plenty to be excited about over the next few months, the real headline act is the announcement of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Arriving on Switch September 18th, this collection will feature HD ports of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. An improved port of Wii U classic Super Mario 3D World will also be making its way to the console early next year.

Finally, Nintendo confirmed a handful of other exciting pieces of news. The SNES classic Super Mario All-Stars collection launches via Nintendo Switch online later today, and includes enhanced versions of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3. That's a pretty handsome package.

With everything that's happened so far this year, there was an awful lot of uncertainty as to whether Nintendo would be able to pull anything out in time for Mario's 35th Birthday, but... they nailed it. Truly, this is an incredibly exciting time to be a Super Mario fan.
