The trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer is here.

The new trailer has already got fans pretty excited with one saying: "Best trailer I've seen come from Call of Duty. So f***ing gassed to play this."

Another wrote: "OK this is the first Call of Duty game I've been stoked for in a while. The inclusion of 'Enter the Sandman' as the soundtrack of the trailer. Perfection."

While a third added: "Aw hell yeah, now this is the s*** I've been waiting for!"

The brand new trailer comes after Infinity Ward and Activison revealed a bunch of features including Killstreaks, the ability to reload while aiming down your sights and its new Gunfight mode.

The game will be available in crystal clear 4K and fans have already been treated to a sneak peek of how the Gunfight mode will look.

This new 2v2 mode is fast-paced, and when I say 'fast-paced' I mean a round lasts 40 seconds and is set inside a small map with a series of changing weapon loadouts.

Infinity Ward shared a sneak preview, which laid out the premise of the new mode: two teams of two facing off against each other, using the same weapon loadout.

When it comes to winning, there's more than one way to claim victory in these quick-fire battles. The most straightforward is, of course, by killing the other team, but if no one wins outright a 10-second overtime is added, in which players have a bit of extra time to kill their opponents or capture their flag.

If overtime ends and there's still two teams standing with their flags, whichever team has the most health wins.

Much to the delight of fans, animation director Mark Grigsby also revealed that players will now be able to load while looking their sights.

In a blog post he wrote: "In the past, if you're ADS [aiming down sight] and you're shooting and you reload, the weapon would go off to the side, and you'd have to retrain to get to your target.

"This time if you reload, it stays on the target, so you can stay in the battle."

The beta arrives on 12 September - you can pre-order it here. The full release follows on 25 October.
