'UFC 4' Will Reportedly Star Anthony Joshua And Tyson Fury
It looks like EA Sports' UFC 4 will be formally revealed in July 2020 and will feature Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua as unlockable playable characters.
As spotted by Eurogamer, UFC has confirmed that UFC 251 - dubbed "Fight Island" in light of travel restrictions across the world as a result of the coronavirus pandemic - is going ahead next month on 11 July, 2020 courtesy of an announcement on social media.
Interestingly, the official EA Sports UFC Twitter account has also retweeted the announcement and included a wide eyes emoji, too, suggesting there'll be something for fans of the UFC video games at the same time, perhaps?
Sorry, this content isn't available right now.
That's not all, either. Brian Mazique of The Fight Guys YouTube channel reckons the game is headed for both current- and next-gen consoles. They also report Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are unlockable, playable characters in UFC 4 that will become available once players have completed the career mode.
The next UFC clash will be hosted on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
In related news, did you know that since football has resumed on TV, Sky Sports has been using the crowd noises of EA's FIFA 20 football franchise to improve the atmosphere at empty stadiums? Currently played "behind closed doors", there are no spectators at any of the matches but Sky hopes that by using the recorded chants from EA's tentpole football series, they can "replicate the vibrant atmosphere of Premier League clashes, so fans don't miss out on the noise that goes with the action".
"In partnership with EA Sports FIFA, Sky Sports has created a range of bespoke and team-specific crowd noises and chants to bring the vibrant atmosphere of the Premier League to the restart," explained Sky Sports' website at the time.
