Everything We Have Learned From Fortnite’s Rocket Launch
As Season 4 comes to a close, we've finally witnessed the event which kickstarts Season 5, and it was a spectacle to say the least.
Players from around the world dropped into the Battle Royale map to watch the villain's superweapon launch, but what exactly did it do?
We all saw the missile head towards Tilted Towers only to get stopped by some sort of force field, which then caused the rocket to lose control and fire all over the place.
It finally ended when the missile exploded and ripped a huge dimensional tear in the sky, which has been left permanently in the game.
So, what's different?
Obviously, the rocket from the evil lair opposite Snobby Shores has gone. This came after weeks of speculation and leaks, and just shows how strong the information is which gets thrown about the Fortnite community.
Missile remains were found in Anarchy Acres and there have also been sightings of smaller dimensional breaches around the map, most notably the one at Lonely Lodge.

This crack has already expanded since the explosion date, and parts of the lodge have now started to disappear.
Players are speculating that the tear sucked up the signs situated in front of the log cabin, and they believe something big (Leviathan) could come from the other side if it continues to grow.
A rift has also been spotted at the Motel, but at the moment it's unclear what Epic Games plan to do with them both.
One of the major rumours circling the internet is that a new Leviathan mode is coming. TwoEpicBuddies, who have been right on nearly every leak so far, have stated: "2 new LMT's will be coming near the end of season 4.

"A 50v50 but one person in one team will control the big leviathan and the team with the leviathan have to escort him to wailing woods or greasy grove. The other team has to take it down before it's too late! There's infinite lives in the gamemode but no building."
With the cracks getting bigger since they were implemented, including the one in the sky, there are suggestions that Epic might be updating the game and map daily until Season 5.
The fact they could start an event which happened at the exact same time in every game was pretty impressive, and maybe this is just the beginning for some brand new features being introduced into game.
