If your mobile phone is your life, then no doubt you'll be getting excited over the release of the Apple iPhone 11.

Yes, it's that time again.

Apple has sent out invitations to the media for its next event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California where the launch is set to take place.

As with any big tech launch, there's been plenty of rumours about spec and shape. However, Apple isn't expected to change the design of the device this year, which makes it the first time the iPhone has had the same look for three years on the trot.

With their rivals introducing the likes of flexible screens and 5G, plenty of people are intrigued to see what the iPhone 11 has in store. Here's what we know so far.

The unveiling will take place at the company's headquarters in California on 10 September.

Rumours suggest that Apple is going to introduce three new models to the market and will replace the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR with the iPhone 11, 11 Max/11 Pro and 11R. However, in keeping with the X theme, Apple could decide to call their phones the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max. The update to the XR could even be called the iPhone XT. Not confusing at all.

There will be definitely be three new iPhones: successors to the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone XS phones with OLED screens, and a successor to the 6.1-inch iPhone XR with an LCD screen.

As well as iOS 13, we're expecting the latest devices to have better cameras and faster processors. In fact, Apple is looking to include three cameras on the back of the XS successors. The three lenses will consist of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. Apparently the three lenses will allow for better 3D sensing for augmented reality.

We are also expecting Apple to add wireless charging to their phones to keep up with their rivals Samsung and Hauwei which may also be able to charge the new AirPods 2.

Hopefully Apple will include bigger batteries in the latest phones too as the current iPhone XS only has a battery size of 2,658mAh, which is very small compared to the 4,000mAh found in Samsung devices.

In terms of design, we're expecting the new version of the iPhone XR to come with new colours including green and purple.

How much will the iPhone cost?

Both the iPhone X and the iPhone XS launched with a base price of £999/$999, and we can't see that price falling, so we'd assume the latest versions will cost a little bit more.

What Is The iPhone 11 Release Date?

As the unveiling for the devices is set to take place on September 10, we can expect them to go on sale around a week later, around September 20.
