Google Maps Allows You To See The Secrets Hidden In Area 51

Google Maps Allows You To See The Secrets Hidden In Area 51

If you're planning to raid Area 51, then we're here to tell you there's an easier way to find out the secrets inside the secret facility. Instead of 'Naruto running' your way through the US Army, you can explore until your heart's content from the comfort of your computer screen. By using Google Maps you can decide for yourself if there are visitors from another galaxy in Nevada

If you're late to the party, a Storm Area 51 event was recently set up on Facebook and had attracted over two million attendees despite warnings from authorities. The event description read: "We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we Naruto Run [an attack inspired by Japanese manga, in which people run with their arms outstretched backwards and heads forwards], we can move faster than their bullets.

On Wednesday, the local government who are in charge of the remote US county where the Area 51 military is located, have declared an emergency. They are concerned about the massive influx of people travelling to the area to 'see them aliens'.

Even though the Facebook campaign has since been deleted and the millions who signed up online probably aren't going to turn out, the local government is preparing for a decent amount of alien enthusiasts rocking up.

"Let's see them aliens."

Despite the popularity of the event, the page has recently been taken down by Facebook according to founder Matty Roberts. Apparently, the content went against Facebook's community standards.

Matty vented his frustration to CNET: "I never got any reason behind the event being removed."

Apart from the one Facebook just gave.

If that wasn't enough of a deterrent for you, according to US Air Force spokesperson Laura McAndrews, Area 51 is an 'open training field' which is used by the US Air Force. She said she 'would discourage' anyone from trying to come into the area as 'the US Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets'. I think what Laura means is that they'd shoot you in the face if you made it into the facility.

All isn't lost though, by typing these co-ordinates into Google Maps: 37.24804, -115.800155, or by following this link, you can view the base without breaking any rules.

According to reports, Area 51 contains a baseball field, additional runways on a dry lake and even an underground base.

Self-proclaimed alien hunter, Scott Waring, took to his YouTube channel to discuss the underground structure. He said: "I found something in Area 51 that appears to be a newly-built underground base.

"But why would the US government need another underground base there?"

He continued: "Look at this facility, it is really quite incredible.

"It is near a farm for some reason, and I am sure the farm is on private government land."

Whether you believe Scott or not, if you do decide to 'Storm Area 51' please do it in the safe environment of your own home.
