Sick Of Having To Press To Unlock Since iOS Updated? Here's How To Fix It

Enjoy.

Earlier this month Apple released iOS 10 and, unless you're a lazy bastard like me who hasn't bothered to update, you're probably still getting used to all the features. The new update allows you to put widgets on your lock screen and messages has apparently been ruined updated with stickers and animations and stuff; Apple Music has also had a revamp.

All in all, it looks to be a pretty cool update and I will definitely do it this week, probably. As ever, loads of people don't like it, but that's just life for you, isn't it? Can't please everyone.

One change that people don't seem to like very much is how you unlock your phone. The update meant that people with Touch ID-enabled phones had to actually press the home button (can you image such a thing? Must be awful for them) rather than just resting your thumb on the home button.

Now, if you're too lazy to press a fucking button that your thumb is ALREADY on then do I have good news for you? Because the people at PC Mag have found a way to get it back to how it was. Woohoo.

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button. There's then an option to Rest Finger to Open, move the slider over and, ta-dah, you've saved yourself one hundredth of a second every time you open your phone. What will you do with all that extra time? Learn a new language? Write a novel? The world's your oyster.
