Spotify And Tinder Are Coming Together To Form An Unholy Match-Making Alliance

This will go down in history.

Remember this day - 20 September 2016 - the day the greatest alliance since the Rock'n'Sock connection came together.

A tag-team of two tech companies that together offer unlimited access to millions of tunes at the touch of a screen and the potential of a late-night shag with anybody within commutable distance.

Yes, Spotify and Tinder have announced that they're teaming up to allow users of the dating app to view and play their potential match's top tracks.

While it might sound like good news at first glance, this is actually shit news for people like me who pretend to like cool/obscure artists and bands for the sake of their personal brand, but who in reality spend most of their time listening through the landfill of shite music.

You'll also be able to choose a song to be your anthem, which as Spotify puts it, will be: "It's that one single track that tells your story. That one song you can't get out of your head. Where the lyrics of your life meet the rhythm of your soul.

"It may change as you change, but at any given time, you have an anthem - and the world is waiting to hear it. Spotify is giving all Tinder users, with or without a Spotify account, the unique ability to add an Anthem to their profile."

Basically you pick whatever song you like that you think will increase the chance of getting a match - it's not rocket science.

It'll be rolled out from now, so look out for it when your Tinder and Spotify apps next update.
