Apple's New £549 AirPods Max Headphones Mocked On Social Media

Apple's new £549 headphones have been the butt of countless jokes on social media since being unveiled earlier today (Tuesday 8 December).

The AirPods Max feature 'incredible high-fidelity audio, Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, and spatial audio'; however, a lot of people are struggling to see past the hefty price tag:

But Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, is predictably much fonder of the 'magical' headphones.

He said: "AirPods are the most popular headphones in the world, beloved for their effortless setup, incredible sound quality, and iconic design.

"With AirPods Max, we are bringing that magical AirPods experience to a stunning over-ear design with high-fidelity audio.

"The custom acoustic design, combined with powerful H1 chips, and advanced software enable AirPods Max to use computational audio to wirelessly deliver the ultimate personal listening experience."

The headphones are available to order from today and will begin shipping next Tuesday.
