Well, slap me with bread and call me a sandwich! Pokémon Go's been doing absolute numbers.

It's hysterical hype might have quietened down a bit since its initial release but the stats still act as a phenomenal indictment of this simple app.

Sensor Tower, an app store optimisation platform, has estimated Pokémon Go has been installed more than 75 million times so far, on iPhone and Android alike.

Fucking hell. Better yet, the game's not even universally downloadable.

The platform also claims the app has gone beyond 50 million downloads on Google Play over the weekend.

Let's put that in perspective: it's taken Pokémon Go 19 days to reach that. Candy Crush Jelly Saga needed 112 days.

I guess I was wrong when I labelled users of the app virgins.
