Two lottery winners from different generations sat down to discuss the moment they found out they'd won, what the money has enabled them to do and the 'friends' that emerged after they went public.
In this episode of LADbible Original series, The Gap, Kevin Jones - who was the winner of £6.1 million ($7.57m) - met up with Matt Myles - who bagged himself £1m ($1.24m) on the National Lottery's raffle section.
While the pair are adamant that they haven't changed - they both still shop at Aldi, for example - they were cautious of not being able to help everyone out who asked for a borrow.
Matt, 31, who was living alone in a flat with £20,000 worth of debt when he won, explained how he was getting inboxes on social media from people asking for money.
He said: "Because of social media, I was getting inboxes - letters daily for the first 18 months. I didn't want to say no but you kind of have to be good about it. You can't just say, 'bugger off, who do you think you're talking to?'.
"Unfortunately, I can't help. If I helped everyone that asked, I actually wouldn't have any money left because it did really get that bad. Luckily, it's died down now, five years later, but I'd say I still get one a month."
Luckily, Kevin has experienced the contrary, saying that people he didn't know would toot car horns and put their thumbs up at him.
He said: "People that I did know were saying, 'oh you'll be getting begging letters' and it never happened."
But he did add that he's become slightly isolated, saying: "Overall, I'd say I have less friends now."
Despite chatting about the downsides to winning the lottery, the pair did remember moments in their lives where they have thought 'I'm rich', with Matt talking about a night where he was on a casino table next to 50 Cent. Alright for some, eh?
