Leaked BGT footage shows what reality of what happens when Golden Buzzer is hit

Britain's Got Talent fans simply live for those golden buzzer moments.

They will tell you it's the most magical part of the show as each judge can select one act per series to go straight through to the next round of live shows.

You might remember when ex judge David Walliams used his first two Golden Buzzers on Christian Spridon and Lorraine Bowen.

Now, a golden buzzer moment is built up as this magical science, with so much emotion on stage.

However, some leaked BGT footage shows what a golden buzzer moment is actually like.

A video posted to X shows the moment 11-year-old Olivia Lynes received the golden buzzer from Amanda Holden, after she gave a beautiful rendition of 'Defying Gravity' from Wicked.

And while it was rather magical on stage, the reality in real-life was a little less dramatic.

In a short two-second clip, filmed from the centre of the theatre, three men can be seen on the stage by Olivia as Amanda pressed her golden buzzer.

One man is holding up a machine to spray the golden confetti onto Olivia's head, while a second crew member is crouched down filming the 11-year-old, with the third member supporting him.

The footage was posted to X by Adam Khan (@Adam_Khan100), who wrote: "Golden Buzzer reshoots aren't as cool looking in real life than all the slow-mo stuff you see on the TV... it's just a guy blowing confetti onto the contestant while cameras film in slow motion..."

Many BGT fans have flocked to the comment section of the leaked footage in disbelief as to how different the show is in real-life.

"Clips like these that shock how fixed this show is," one person wrote.

A second added: "It’s clips like this that the producers of #bgt recreate to make us think that we are all gullible and the fakery is real.

"Why can’t the show be more raw and real, it would be appreciated a lot more."

Meanwhile, a third remarked: "It’s true. A huge anticlimax."

Olivia's audition actually proved controversial itself, as Amanda went to go meet her before the show to invite her to audition.

It led to some fans calling the show a 'fix', after the judge awarded her golden buzzer to the 11-year-old.
