A couple with a 53-year age gap are celebrating their sixth anniversary and took to social media to say they've proved 'toxic' people wrong.
Gary Hardwick, 23, and his 76-year-old wife Almeda married back in 2015 when they were 18 and 71.
The pair met at Almeda's son's funeral two weeks before they got married and, at the time, Gary had just recently separated from a 77-year-old woman.

They first had sex on their wedding night. Almeda said at the time: "I wasn't looking for a young man, but Gary just came along. I just knew straight away that he was the one."
Paying tribute to his wife with a celebratory Instagram post Gary, from Tennessee, wrote: "Happy anniversary to the most amazing woman in the world.
"Six years ago today I made the best decision of my life, I said 'I do' to the love of my life, my one true soulmate."
He went on: "You make me the happiest man each and everyday and I'm so proud and grateful to have you right beside me through all of life's journey.
