Amanda Bynes has opened up about undergoing cosmetic surgery after speculation about her ‘new look’.

The 37-year-old star recently launched her brand new podcast with biochemist Paul Sieminksi, which is imaginatively titled Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast.

Bynes' podcast is the first major project she has been involved with since her conservatorship ended last year.

Teasing her venture last month, she said: “At first we are going to interview our friends and then we’re hoping to take it mainstream and interview celebrities and artists.”

During the first episode, which featured tattooist Dahlia Moth, Bynes - who has a heart tattoo on her face - said: “Nobody cares anymore if people have face tattoos. It shouldn’t matter.”

Shortly after the podcast, the She’s The Man star took to her TikTok account to clear up a ‘couple of stories online that say [she has] a new look’.

In the clip, Bynes admitted to having previously had surgery on her eyelids and that she has absolutely zero regrets about the procedure - saying it is ‘one of the greatest things’ she’s ever done.

She said: "I was never open about this before, but I actually had blepharoplasty surgery on the skin folds in the corners of my eyes.

"I don’t have those skin folds anymore — it was one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence and it made me feel a lot better in my skin.

"So I just wanted to post about that just to clear up that rumour as to why I have a new look. I feel a lot better now about myself, and I’m so glad I had the blepharoplasty surgery.

"It was one of the greatest things I could’ve ever done."

In a follow-up video, she went on to say that paparazzi shots of her typically ‘didn't look good’ due to the bad lighting.

She explained: "I also wanted to post a video explaining that I don't usually look good in paparazzi pictures and that's because paparazzi pictures are taken outside and the sunlight is usually really harsh and bright on my skin, even though I'm only 37 and I don't even look old.

"Also, I have scars on the right side of my face, you can't really tell if you don't see it in a certain bright light.

“I'm going to take you outside to show you how terrible I can look in a certain light. I'm sure people have seen from me in movies and me in paparazzi pictures.

"So that is the secret to how I look good, I tend to find the best light."
