Margot Robbie reveals she paid off her mum's mortgage after finding Hollywood success

Margot Robbie reveals she paid off her mum's mortgage after finding Hollywood success

She declared to Sarie Kessler that she wouldn't have to worry about another repayment again.

Margot Robbie already appears to be one of the nicest people in Hollywood.

The Aussie star is rarely seen without a massive smile on her face and she gives fans the time of day when she's doing press tours for her latest projects.

But, if you needed another reason to love the 33-year-old, this is it.

She has revealed that she used her big Hollywood earnings to pay off her mum's mortgage.

In an interview with CBS, the Barbie star explained how she regularly lent on Sarie Kessler's finances in her early days of being an actor.

But, she made sure to keep track of everything so that she could eventually return the favour.

"Everything I owed my mum, I had it written down," she told CBS Sunday Morning.

"She'd take money out of the, like, house mortgage [to] lend me money. So I always knew, I was like, 'I gotta pay that back'.

"And then one day, when I made enough money, I just paid that whole mortgage off completely."

What an epic achievement that no doubt would have been an awesome moment for the actor and her mum.

She declared to Sarie that her mortgage 'doesn't even exist anymore' and she wouldn't have to worry about another repayment again.

While some people might call Margot a saint for that, she said: "Honestly, anyone in my position, you'd do that for your mum.

"Of course you would."

In the interview, she opened up about how she constantly has to pinch herself at how far she's come since those days as Donna Freedman on Neighbours.

"I know I'm hardworking and blah, blah, blah, but I'm also the luckiest, luckiest, luckiest person in the world," she said.

"Every time that I did something I was like, 'Now it's the top. It will never get better than this'.

"And then somehow it's just kept getting better and better."

Robbie became a household name when she landed the role of Naomi Lapaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street and starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.

She started getting booked for major other films like Suicide Squad, I, Tonya, Mary Queen of Scots, Bombshell and Once Upon a Time in...Hollywood.

However, her latest film, Barbie, is setting records since it premiered and has cemented her spot as a Hollywood star.

Who knows what she will be cast in the future, however, right now, she can revel in being one of the biggest names in entertainment.
