Shocking cost of Taylor Swift's Super Bowl seats if Travis Kelce's Chiefs get to the final

Shocking cost of Taylor Swift's Super Bowl seats if Travis Kelce's Chiefs get to the final

NFL players families have to pay for their own suites at regular games, never mind the biggest game of the year

Big sporting events always carry with them hefty price tags. Then enter, the Super Bowl.

It's one of the sporting calendar's biggest events, with it going so much further than just a game of American football.

Many tune in regardless of their indifference for the game. We're talking the halftime show, adverts costing millions to produce, famous faces, and incredible snack creations.

For those who are more focused on the game, and want to go in person, it doesn't come cheap.

A ticket in the Gods will set you back almost $9,000. Want one on the half way line? $53,500 is the going rate right now on Ticketmaster, and that's before we know who will play in the fixture.

And it doesn't stop there. For those with cash to burn, we're talking suites.

One of the most famous names to appear in NFL crowds this season - so much so there's as many stories about her as any match result - is Taylor Swift.

The iconic pop star has been a regular at the Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Swift has usually been spotted in an Arrowhead suite alongside members of Kelce's family as well as other VIPs such as Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany Mahomes.

Whether she will be at the Super Bowl or not is another matter should Kelce's team get there.

But as revealed by Chanen Johnson - wife of New Orleans Saints' tight end Juwan Johnson - suites don't come gifted in the world of the NFL.

Taking to TikTok, she claimed that the cheapest suites during the regular season are around $18,000 (£14,200) to $20,000 ($15,700) which she says 'isn't a bad deal when you really think about it'.

Johnson explained: "There's a lot of girls on teams who will get together and all pay $1,000 (£800) for a nice suite together.

"There's no specific room for us to watch together unless we purchase it.

"This year Juwan has a game where I plan on having a tonne of family come and it's honestly cheaper to get a suite... but I'm really not in the mood to spend that much money every single game."

Enter the Super Bowl, where $20,000 doesn't even get you half a seat on the half way line.

Instead, we're going bigger... a lot bigger.

Taking place at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, a 2024 Super Bowl suite will cost you a minimum of $600,000 (£472,000). And wait for it - they go up to a staggering $2,600,000 (£2,045,400).

The $600,000 package is in fact not a suite at all but four tickets and luxury seats, with a food and drinks package thrown in on top. That's nice of them.

Compare that to the $2.6m, which comes with 26 tickets and seats as well as a full suite with buffet and drinks.

That works out at $50,000 less per ticket; it's all about the numbers, people.

Should Kelce's Chiefs make the big game, and Swift and his family want to repeat their regular season's outings, they're most likely looking at the package setting the couple back more than $2.5m for the day.

But when you're worth $1.1billion, you can afford pretty much anything in the entire world.

Kelce himself is also worth around $30m, so expect the good seats for all the family should they get to the Super Bowl.
