It's an exciting time for Marvel fans the world over, with numerous films in the pipeline and set for release in the coming months, including Guardians of The Galaxy 3, Black Panther 2 and Spiderman: Homecoming 2.

Earlier this week, producers finally released a new trailer for the forthcoming Captain Marvel film, starring Brie Larson as the all-action superhero.

But even with so much to look forward to, fans have still had to be patient as they wait for news of the franchise's biggest hit. No film has tested them more than the upcoming Avengers 4 movie, with fans on the edges of their seats waiting for the trailer and the title to be revealed.

Well, fans will have to wait a little bit longer, as it is now understood that the the title release and the first look at the trailer for the fourth installment has been delayed until Friday 7 December, as a mark of respect for the former President of the United States of America, George H.W. Bush, who died last week.

The 41st President and proud Texan passed away on Friday 30 November and his funeral was held today.

Fans will have to wait a little while longer for the trailer.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) went into meltdown last week, when they were treated to a special viewing of Avengers: Infinity War in Hollywood followed by the opportunity to question the men behind the films, Anthony and Joseph Russo.

They couldn't believe their luck with many thinking (hoping) it was going to be the moment they had been waiting for. However, they were left bitterly disappointed when any mention of the new film met with the sharp sound of an air horn.

Guessing they didn't want to talk about it.

This wasn't the only time fans have been within touching distance of the new film. In October Mark Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk, was left in hot water after he let slip the title of the upcoming film in front of a live studio audience during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Of course, the moment was bleeped out for TV, but this didn't stop the Russo brothers tweeting to Ruffalo saying: "Mark, you're fired."

Starting to think we're all being trolled here.

Avengers 4 will be released in the UK on 26 April.
