‘Rick And Morty’ Creator Reveals Season 4 Has Not Been Ordered By Network

Fans started to get a bit twitchy when there were so many delays for the third season of Rick and Morty - but at least they knew it was coming. The previous chapter left on such a cliff hanger that we were desperate to know what happened to Rick and the Smith family.

Eventually, Adult Swim released the highly anticipated episodes and it really was worth the wait because it was absolutely brilliant.

But then it finished and we had to play the waiting game all over again. However, this time it's different. No one knows when new episodes will premiere, not even co-creator of the show Dan Harmon.

An angry fan wrote below one of his comments on Twitter, saying: "Quit wasting time and go finish the next R&M season, you lazy alcoholic. Run the Jewels can get the animators to make a music video, but we're waiting on them for the next season? Nah, we're waiting on you to finish writing it, like that fuckin book."

The upset viewer was also referring to the seemingly endless wait that Game of Thrones readers have been experiencing for the final book.

Instead of getting a sassy reply, Dan dropped a goddamn bombshell:

Wait, that was actually pretty sassy.

It seems as though other viewers agree.

Rotten Tomatoes has a 97 percent rating for the animated show and it certainly holds its own against some of its competitors like Family Guy, The Simpsons and South Park. It's won 12 awards and been nominated for a further 14.

So why the hell wouldn't they want more content.

You'd think they would have commissioned it the second the third season started or at least ended. But until Adult Swim agrees to another instalment, you can bet your bottom dollar that Dan Harmon and his co-creator Justin Roiland won't be writing new episodes for the fun of it.
