He's never been much of a shrinking violet, but prankster Steve-O's recent online outburst has landed him in hot water.
Earlier this week Steve-O - real name Stephen Glover - said he had had enough of the hate and shared several pics to his Instagram account - including one of him sat in a fridge full of veggies.
The ex-Jackass hellraiser added this caption: "Fuck, vegans can be annoying. To all the combative, annoying vegans who are choosing to attack me for not forcing veganism on my cats, and for not being a strict, militant vegan myself (even though I haven't eaten any meat other than fish for well over ten years), please consider that you're doing more harm than good. Maybe stop working so hard to pit people who are on your team against you."

Unsurprisingly this struck the nerve of many a vegan follower, who felt he was being unfair - and if they hadn't turned on the 44-year-old before, they certainly had now.
One person wrote: "You're not on our, or the animals, team if you pay for the exploitation and slaughter of animals dude. You may not like that people have told you this, because it makes you uncomfortable, but it doesn't mean it's not the truth."
Another person said: "Not everyone is attacking you. It just doesn't make sense to call yourself vegan and then go backwards. You're literally regressing from progress. How is that even something that shouldn't be ridiculed? It's just like so many other celebrities; unable to actually stick to a strict moral compass. Ethics, bruh."

A third added: "You are not a vegan! Vegans don't eat fish! I don't care what you eat but you should had never called yourself a vegan because you never were one. There is no such thing as a militant vegan, either you are vegan or not. I thought you were more intelligent!"
"@steveo VEGAN ACTIVISM ISNT ABOUT YOU OR ME... it's about all the animals being slaughtered in slaughtered houses... I'm sorry you lost compassion for the animals of the sea. Please remind your self that it's just as cruel to slaughter a turkey, cow, pig.... as it is to slaughter a beautiful sea animal," added another.
Ouch. As a former vegan yourself Steve-O, you should know better than most not to cross them.
