Momoa shared a short clip of himself atop a cliff somewhere in Hawaii yesterday in which he thanked fans for their support, before jumping off the cliff into the water below, swims down and retrieves a phone which he shows to the camera to reveal 'trailer tomorrow'. Pretty dramatic.
Naturally, fans were very keen to get their first look at the new flick:
And now it's finally here, they're even more excited:
As well as Momoa, Aquaman stars Amber Heard, Willem Dafo, Partrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman and Dolph Lundgren. Solid cast.

It tells the origin story of Aquaman - a half human, half-Atlantean named Arthur Curry (Momoa).
Plot details are still under-wraps but speaking to DC All Access earlier this year, Momoa did appear to confirm a long-standing fan-theory about Aquaman and Superman having crossed paths before.
"In Man of Steel, when Henry [Cavill] is saving the oil rig and he's holding that up, and all of a sudden he kind of floats up on the ocean," Momoa said.

"He's [director Zack Snyder] like 'I had Aquaman save him so that they did cross paths at one point'. So then when Bruce goes 'You ever heard of...Superman?' I have met him and we have crossed paths."
The film hits cinemas on 21 December, which is shaping up to be a pretty busy day for movies, with the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee and Will Ferrell's new movie Holmes & Watson also being released that day.
