Reckon you've got what it takes? The ITV fan favourite is looking for people to take on the chaser for the 13th series

Do you watch The Chase religiously each and every night? Maybe you're guilty of uncontrollably swearing at the TV when Julie from Scunthorpe can't answer a simple question? Or do you and your family go head-to-head to see who gets the most questions right?

How many times have you said 'well, if I were on there they'd all be going home richer'? Don't say you haven't.

Well, now's your chance because The Chase is looking for brand new contestants to appear on the 13th season of the show.

All those times you've slagged off the skint student for taking the lower offer, secretly knowing that you'd be seriously tempted if you were in that position, could finally be over.

You would be up against one of The Famous Five including the likes of Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here's Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty and Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace.

You could face one of The Chasers.

According to the Manchester Evening News, to apply you must be over 18 and a legal resident of and currently live in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

The programme is based at Elstree Studios, just north of London, so you'd be expected to be able to get yourself there.

The closing date for applications isn't stated but don't leave it too long and you can't put yourself forward if you have ever been employed by any of the ITV group of companies during the past decade.

You also can't be a partner or relative of an employee of ITV. Yep, they're taking this shit seriously. Click here if you fancy it.

If successful, we hope (for your own sake) that you wouldn't crash and burn like one contestant did last year.

Dornu, a doctor, failed to get any questions correct in the cash builder round.

Now, I specify that she's a doctor for a reason. If someone appears on the show with what is regarded a 'serious job', I usually let them off if they don't play a blinder and put it down to all of their being-good-at-something capabilities being concentrated in their career.

But viewers weren't up for letting it slide. Oh boy, they went innnn. One viewer wrote: "This might be the worst performance I have ever seen on #TheChase."

Another added: "Dornu came with nothing and when she left she still had all of it left."

And a third commented: "I hope the reason she had no general knowledge was because her brain was choc-a-bloc with medical knowledge." Our thoughts exactly. See? It's not just me after all.

Anyway, don't make a dick of yourself whatever you do. No pressure, yeah?
