Don't you just hate it when you get a tattoo so mortifying that you have to go on a TV programme and show it everyone in order to get it fixed?

Pain in the arse isn't it? ... Particularly in the case of Sam, who appeared on last (Thursday) night's episode of Tattoo Fixers on E4.

Like the majority of guests on the show, she thought the tattoo would be a laugh while she was on holiday, but grew to regret it with time - which you'd think she should have known when getting 'I love anal' permanently plastered across her arse.

Predictably, fixers Alice, Sketch and Pash had to pick their jaws up off the floor after Sam lifted up her dress and revealed the inky declaration.

Sam went on to explain that the sentiment was still very much true, but the tattoo had come to affect her love life.

While the sentiment is still true, Sam grew sick of the tattoo.

She said: "It affects me, it's embarrassing."

Fortunately then for Sam the message has now been obscured by a tiger in a teacup, for some reason.

Sam said the cover up was 'worth the pain', which is presumably how she feels about anal too. She concluded that the original tattoo would now be her 'little secret', clearly misunderstanding how the programme works.

The fixers were shocked by the anal tattoo.

But hey, it could be worse. Who could forget the bloke who thought he would never have sex again after he had his crotch area transformed into a Henry Hoover?

Appearing on Bodyshockers: Nips, Tucks And Tattoos, he said: "When I first got it done aged 16 I couldn't stop getting it out, I got loads of attention and I was a bit of a local hero, I loved it.

"But I was with a girl recently and I liked her, things were going well until we got naked. When she saw it she said 'what's that? I am off!' I was gutted, I never thought I would regret my tattoo when I got it done.

"When I think about that night the girl walked out it does haunt me and puts me off showing it to other women in the future.

"Laser is too painful for me to get rid of this tattoo, I am going to have to put up with it."

The moral of the story then - just 'cos you love something, doesn't mean you should get a tattoo of it, be it anal, Henry Hoover or Tommy Robinson.
