Real Wolf of Wall Street party footage has hilarious moment worthy of being in the film

The Stratton Oakmont Christmas Party in 1994 produced a hilarious moment that could have made it into the movie.

Resurfaced footage from a real 'Wolf of Wall Street' party features a hilarious moment that would have definitely been worthy of making the cut in the movie.

The Wolf of Wall Street, whether you like it or not, is one of the defining and most well-received films of the 2010s and continues to leave its mark on pop culture today.

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio alongside Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie in her breakthrough role, the 2013 film is based on the wild life of ex-stockbroker Jordan Belfort.

The movie, which is based on the 2007 memoir of the same name, was actually toned down according to Belfort, despite the film featuring heavy drug use, sex workers, money laundering and several other illegal activities.

Belfort was eventually sentenced to four years in prison, though he served just under half of that before being released.

With the film being based on Belfort's real life and the on-goings of his Wall Street firm, Stratton Oakmont, archive footage found over the years has managed to back up certain scenes in the movie.

And now, footage from the company's Christmas party in 1994 has resurfaced on YouTube, featuring a hilarious moment that really should have been included in the movie.

In the grainy clip, Belfort is seen at a Stratton Oakmont Trading Christmas party carrying out one of his legendary speeches, as seen many times in the film.

However, he is constantly being interrupted before someone quietens the crowd down so he can finish.

In the middle of his speech, he says: "There are so many people that have been instrumental to the success [of Stratton Oakmont]..."

Before shushing the crowd, followed by a loud bellow in the background: "Shut up, God damn it! Knock it off!"

Belfort followed it up, saying: "Uh oh, my Father!"

Belfort's father can be heard screaming at the crowd to shut up in a hilarious moment that really should have made it into the film.

It's a moment that would have fit perfectly into the film, as Belfort's father - played by Rob Reiner - has a couple of memorable moments as the constantly p*ssed off dad.

Who could forget the scene which sees his dad storm into his office and loose his s**t after finding out Belfort and his mates spent thousands on a dinner, which just so happened to include fees for sex workers.

As crazy as the movie is, it's even crazier to think that the true story is more vulgar, illegal, and dirty than the movie ever was.
