It's a magical day for Harry Potter fans who have woken up to find all eight of the original movies now on Netflix UK & Ireland.

"Yer a binger, Harry!"

It's true - it would be a big task, but fans now have the option of bingeing every single one of the Harry Potter movies in a row, watching Harry go from a clueless young boy with a scar on his head to a hardened teen ready to kill off the bad guy once and for all.

News of the series' arrival on Netflix was shared by the streaming service on Twitter yesterday (16 May), when it posted a still from the film and wrote: "All 8 Harry Potter films come to Netflix UK/IE tomorrow!!"

Netflix has also updated its bio with a line from the franchise in honour of the occasion, writing: "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

The announcement was enough to spark excitement among fans, but waking up this morning to find the films readily available has actually sent some Netflix users into tears.

"seeing harry potter on netflix this morning has made me cryyyy," one fan commented, while another wrote: "Harry Potter finally being added to Netflix?? SCREAMING CRYING."

A lot of people have also shared their plans to watch all of the films back-to-back - a task which, if you're wondering, would take about 19 hours and 39 minutes.

That still leaves four hours and 21 minutes for sleep. The perfect day.

"My excitement for all Harry Potter films on Netflix is unreal. Guess I know what I’m doing when the kids are in school today," one delighted fan tweeted.

Another wrote: "Gonna have my self a very good day today, all Harry Potter Movies are going to be on Netflix."

If you hear of a colleague calling in sick today, you know what they're really up to.

It's been more than a decade since the final Harry Potter film was released in cinemas in 2011, and the stars have gone on to do a lot since then.

Let's be honest, though; they'll always be known for their roles in the Wizarding World, and the arrival of the films on Netflix means fans can now enjoy their story all over again from the very start.

Alternatively, you could take a 'time-turner' approach and watch them all in random order. The choice is yours - all you have to do is grab the snacks, sit back and hit play.
