The thriller has been branded the ‘greatest show ever’

A thriller branded the ‘greatest show ever’ starring Rami Malek has earned a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, despite so many people not having heard of it.

Featuring Hollywood’s mega star Malek - who played Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody - and directed by Sam Esmail, it’s a show that is guaranteed to send your mind spiralling with questions as those who have watched it heap it with praise.

In fact, despite not being very well known, the series has scooped a very impressive 94 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, with an audience score of 93 percent.

The series, titled Mr Robot, follows the story of Elliot Alderson, a cyber-security engineer who becomes a hacker by night.

The synopsis on IMDb reads: “Elliot, a brilliant but highly unstable young cyber-security engineer and vigilante hacker, becomes a key figure in a complex game of global dominance when he and his shadowy allies try to take down the corrupt corporation he works for.”

It was first released in 2015 and there have been four seasons since, thanks to its popularity and success with its cult audience.

One fan has even branded it ‘better than Breaking Bad’, which as we're all aware is an extremely bold statement.

They posted the bold claim on X, saying: “Just finished rewatching MR ROBOT cuz this might be the greatest show ever created on this fkin planet cuz I wanna rewatch it over again & again man it’s even better than Breaking Bad, Sam Esmail and Rami Malek just take a bow. What geniuses. Fkin nailed it. Whaaaata masterpiece.”

Other fans in the comments claimed it was a series hiding so many minute but interesting details, and so it was made to be watched multiple times.

One said: “This show demands multiple viewing tbh I’m out of words to describe the writing, it was next level.

Mr Robot is still playing in my head. Pure acting masterclass from all the cast and crew. Elliot will forever be my fav character.”

Another added: “The rewatch is even better.

“This show is a masterpiece from the first minute to the last second.”

It seems as though everyone who has watched and loved it has had to watch it multiple times over, so this is your warning that you might actually spend a very large amount of time with your head buried in this forever twisting storyline.
