Woman Orders Flowers From Sainsbury's, Receives Spring Onions As A Substitute

Not quite sure what they were thinking...

When you order a food shop online, there's always a risk you're going to end up with something different to what you actually ordered.

They call these 'substitutions' and, if you're anything like me, you just accept what you're given like a true stiff upper lip Brit.

Suzanne Bradish recently ordered some flowers from Sainsbury's. When her boyfriend accepted the order, he did what I usually do. He accepted the substitute items without a single protest.

Maybe he should have said something. It seems like Sainsbury's could've done a much better job when it came to swapping.

Onions?!

Twitter users were quick to retell their own horror substitution stories.

Brilliant. But hey, if it means you get to go viral - it was probably worth it. Right?
