Gordon Ramsay Hated Being Served A Steak On A Roof Tile

On a what?

You, like myself, have probably had a below par visit to a restaurant now and again.

However, most of the time, we choose to bite our lips. The service might be a bit shit, and the food might not be to our satisfaction, but after we're done slagging it off at our table and the waiter comes over - we'll instantly turn around and tell them everything is grand.

It's just the way it works, really. Unless it's really bad, then which we'll try and get another meal and a few drinks for free.

There is one man who refuses to do that though, as it's his job.

For years now, Gordon Ramsay has been going from restaurant to restaurant for Kitchen Nightmares, and effectively slagging them off until they become better.

He's seen just about everything on his travels, but always seems to come across staff immersed in cliche, as they serve food they deem to be amazing, only to be knocked off their high horse.

It was no different on a recent episode when the Scotsman visited a family-run business which was failing on all fronts.

The decor looks like yer nan's flat in the 80s and the food, according to Ramsay, is awful.

One dish stood out from the rest, a filet mignon, named the 'Flaming Tsunami', is served on an actual roof tile. I'm not sure if the folk were aware, but Ramsay is a Michelin star chef. That means he's quite good.

Anyway, he was baffled.

Yeah, not a good start that. What's with all this trying to be outside the box and edgy with food anyway? It's all roof tiles, baskets, wooden plates, chips in buckets and all the rest of it. Just give me the fucking food on a plate.

Same goes for sparklers in cocktails; no one wants third degree burns during the sesh.

It's getting to the point now where it's hard to see Ramsay ever liking anything anyone has ever given to him. But it has happened - don't you worry about that.

This Scottish woman cooked him salmon and haggis during an appearance on Masterchef, and he even went as far as saying it made him feel homesick.

Bit weird seeing him be nice, isn't it?

Stay horrible, please, Gordon.
