Robert De Niro Calls Trump 'Crazy' And Drops F-Bombs On Live TV

It's fair to say the actor isn't the biggest fan of the US President

Before the 2016 presidential election, Robert De Niro shared a video in which he appealed for people not to vote for Donald Trump - who he described as a punk, a dog, a pig, a con, a b******t artist and a mutt.

Three years on, and the Oscar-winning actor's view of the US President hasn't improved; in fact, he thinks even less of him.

In an interview live on CNN's Reliable Sources show yesterday (Sunday) morning, the 76-year-old started out by calling for Trump's impeachment.

"It has to happen. There's no way around it," he said.

"He'll say it's rigged, this or that. This guy has done everything possible, much worse than I ever thought ever. The day after he was elected I said, give him a chance. You'll never know. He is worse than I ever could have imagined."

When asked why exactly he was so against Trump, the Heat actor said he believes the president might be crazy.

He said: "I don't know. I think he's crazy in a way. Part of him is just crazy. Possibly medically, too, I'm starting to think.

"When I saw him out in front of the helicopter waiting to go somewhere and talking endlessly and sweating, I said: 'This guy is not even aware of what he's [doing]. He should at least ask somebody for a handkerchief or something and dry himself off'.

"I mean, where are we? This is a crazy world. What is going on? This guy is crazy. We've got to get him out."

De Niro seems to enjoy a good swear when talking about Trump.

DeNiro then took aim at 'Fox pundits', who he accused of being insincere.

"I can't believe that they would actually buy into this craziness," he said.

"This guy should not be president, period."

At this point, host Brian Setler mentioned the criticism he received from Fox pundits after he said 'F**k Trump' during a speech at the Tony Awards last year; however, Setler probably wishes he never did, as De Niro then took the opportunity to drop a few f-bombs once again.

"F*** 'em. F*** 'em," he said.

"We are in a moment in our lives, in this country, where this guy is like a gangster. He's come along and he's said things, done things, and we say over and over again: 'This is terrible. We're in a terrible situation. We're in a terrible situation'. And this guy just keeps going on and on without being stopped."

DeNiro is currently on a press tour for The Irishman - so if you enjoy these kind of rants, keep your eyes peeled.
