Mark Wahlberg is ‘ripped like he’s in his 20s’ as he shares his shredded physique

The actor has done a bit of showing off for the cameras with his ripped physique

Mark Wahlberg says he's been putting in some extra workouts to 'get ready for the Christmas holidays' as he shared a shot of his ripped physique on social media.

Really living up to the maxim of 'if you've got it, flaunt it', the actor posted a new video to his Instagram page showing his fans he's still in great shape at 51 years of age.

Just look at those abs, you could grate cheese on those things.

Come to think of it, it's a pretty weird saying considering grating cheese on your body is a pretty weird thing to do and even it it did work you'd have a belly that stunk of cheese.

The actor shared his workout results.

Anyway, back onto the topic of Mark Wahlberg's physique, the actor is no stranger to showing off just how shredded he is, taking regular opportunities to flex his biceps and show off his toned body.

The actor once posted his daily schedule, claiming he gets up at 2:30 in the morning, works out twice a day for a combined total of more than two and a half hours, spends some time in a cryo chamber for recovery and is in bed by 7:30 in the evening.

It's some insane dedication to stay that ripped when he's in his 50s so he must be enjoying the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Wahlberg has previously switched to a plant based diet after suffering from what he described as a 'leaky gut' and does whatever it takes to keep himself toned.

The actor showed off his strength by playfully punching a friend in the stomach, at least we hope it was playfully.

The actor isn't above transforming his body to look closer to a role, as last year he adopted an 11,000 calorie a day diet to put on weight for the movie Father Stu, but he admitted he didn't enjoy it much.

He explained that he was 'eating every three hours' and that he would 'wake up after a meal and have another meal', and through it all he knew getting his body back into the toned state he likes would be even tougher.

Wahlberg explained that it 'gets really difficult' to lose weight once the metabolism gives out and that the older he gets the more work he has to do to get his abs back.

The actor's tough physical regime has even inspired some of his co-stars to get into shape, as Tom Holland decided he needed to get shredded to star alongside Wahlberg in Uncharted.
