Lidl Is Selling Heated Shoulder, Neck And Back Pads To Ease Pain

Your back will thank you for it

If you're someone who suffers a fair bit with back pain, here's a piece of good news - Lidl is selling a pair of heated pads for your back and shoulders that will both keep you warm and ease the aches and pains.

The devices are made by a company called Silvercrest and will be available in the middle aisle - because where else would it be? - from Sunday (13 September).

They're not crazy expensive, either.

In fact, you can get hold of either the Back & Neck Heat Pad or the Heated Shoulder Pad for just £14.99. A small price to pay to help ease pain.

Even if not, it's just nice to be warm, isn't it? To employ the rhetoric made famous by a popular TV family - winter is coming.

So, the back and neck electric blanket has a Velcro strap at the top and a waist strap with a buckle to hold it onto your person. That means that the heated pads go across the back, around your back, and up the sides of your neck.

The other product just goes over your shoulders and sits there.

There are six different heat settings to choose from, and an electronic temperature control. Oh, and they've installed a safety feature that turns the machines off automatically after 90 minutes, just in case.

The outer fabric cover for both products can be taken off so it can be bunged into the washing machine, and they must be plugged into the wall while you're using them.

That's about all you need to know.

As far as devices such as these go, £14.99 each looks like a pretty awesome price for what you get. These things can vary wildly, but the internet hasn't yielded anything cheaper so far.

Perhaps it's just one of those things that you find in the middle of Lidl that you didn't realise was going to change your life until you get it home and plug it in.

Then, you'll perhaps wonder how you got this far without it.

However, if this appeals to you, you'll have to get down to a Lidl fairly sharpish to be sure. Stocks are going to be limited, and once they're gone, they're gone.

Lidl does not yet offer an online shopping or delivery service, so you will have to tip up to your local Lidl store if you want to buy one.

Here's the store locator to save you a couple of seconds.
