Machine Gun Kelly walks away from Sky F1 interview after another savage Martin Brundle moment

Machine Gun Kelly walks away from Sky F1 interview after another savage Martin Brundle moment

The musician says he 'doesn't think about his career'

In yet another savage Martin Brundle moment, the next celebrity is added to the list of memorable grid walk interviews.

The Sky Sports presenter was doing his usual grid walk earlier today (5 November) at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Brundle ended up having a rather painful-looking chat with Machine Gun Kelly.

The American rapper seemed happy to chat with the British former racing driver but it just got more and more awkward.

The grid interviewer had to ask the star to ‘tell us about your career’ multiple times before getting a response.

And all that response gave was: “Oh, my career. I don’t think about my career, I don’t think about it.”

But MGK was a little chattier when Brundle asked him for his thoughts on Formula 1.

He said: “I think your business is great. It's loud, your life is on the line and that's exciting.

MGK was more interested in playing 'air guitar'.

“I was in a studio the other week and Lewis Hamilton was in the other studio. That was nice, yeah."

Flipping it round, the American asked the Brit for his thoughts on ‘my business’ as Brundle praised the ‘synergy between the music business and the motor racing business’.

But then things got a bit weird again.

Kelly was more interesting in asking the interviewer for his ‘best air guitar’.

Brundle claimed he couldn’t but he ‘learned the piano once’, and this didn’t help him out.

“Let’s do an air piano and air guitar collaboration right now,” MGK said.

But the Brit tried to explain he ‘probably needs to get on’ and he was reporting live, much to the disappointment of the musician - dressed head to toe in bright yellow.

It's painful to watch.

Kelly then stomped off giving the camera a big thumbs down.

And Brundle finished: “Something tells me I won’t be on his Christmas list."

Earlier this year, he had a similarly awkward encounter on the grid with model Cara Delevingne at Silverstone.

Trying to pin her down for the all-important interview, the Sky Sports pundit politely asked if the actor could stop for a quick chat.

However, this took a toe-curling turn as the model shook her head and gently refused the request.

With her voice drowned out by the mingling crowd, Brundle then pointedly responded: “Well the deal is everyone has to speak on the grid."

As Delevingne then complains she can’t hear anything, the presenter then moves away and savagely mutters: “All right, well I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting.”

Ouch.
