Domino's customers shocked by how many calories are in garlic and herb dip

Domino's customers shocked by how many calories are in garlic and herb dip

One fan of the delicious dip says they're 'devastated' by the discovery

No Domino's feast is complete without a pot of its famous garlic and herb dip to dunk your crusts in.

The creamy dip is a certified fan favourite, its garlic and herb notes with lemon juice and parsley making it so good people have admitted to drinking it straight from the pot.

But pizza lovers have been left distraught after learning how many calories are in the delicious dip.

Admittedly, when you're ordering a large Domino's feast, calories tend to be the last thing on your mind, but some social media users have been left in shock at just how many the garlic and herb dip contains.

A large pot of Domino's Garlic and herb dip clocks in at a whopping 675 calories.

According to the company's official nutritional information, the large 100g pot of dip has 675 calories.

That's more than three large slices of the chain's cheese and tomato pizza, two McDonald's McFlurrys or a Burger King Whopper.

The smaller 25g pots have 169 calories, while the vegan version comes in slightly lower, with 116 calories per 25g pot. Currently, a 100g pot of the vegan version is not available to order.

Posting on X, one Domino’s lover wrote: “A large garlic and herb dip from Domino’s has 675 calories in it. That’s actually a disgusting amount.”

Another said: “Devastated to discover the garlic and herb big dip pot from Domino’s is 675 calories... I drink that stuff man…”

But a lot of fans of the dip haven't been put off, with one commenting: “Even though I know there is over 600 calories in the garlic and herb dip in Domino’s does it stop me getting one and finishing it every time? Absolutely not.”

This is very much my attitude to the whole situation.

If you would like a lower calorie option, Domino’s has plenty of other dipping options. A 100g pot of its BBQ sauce has 188 calories, while 100g of FRANKS RedHot dip is just 21 calories.

Fans have been left 'devastated' after learning the dip's calorie content.

The pizza chain recommends that its large pots of dip are shared between four people.

In a statement to LADbible last year, a Domino's spokesperson said: "Our Garlic & Herb Big Dip is great for sharing with family and friends and serves four people. Single size pots are also available at 169 cals each. One serving of the dip, plus three slices of our delicious Vegi Sizzler pizza, which is less than 180 cals per slice, is just under 700 cals.

"We're committed to providing transparent nutritional information on our website, our app and on menus, to enable customers to keep making informed decisions about how they choose to enjoy our piping hot pizza."
