Moment Slab Of Meat Twitches And Throbs On Chopping Board

Bizarre footage has been shared online showing a slab of raw meat twitching on a chopping board. Watch in the clip below:

The video was taken in the municipality of Temerloh, in the Malaysian state of Pahang, by an artist called Tero who was preparing dinner when it happened.

Sharing the clip to Twitter, where it has since been viewed more than 950,000 times, Tero asked: "Why is the meat moving? My mum refuses to cook it because she is so afraid."

In the video, the chunk of meat can be seen pulsating wildly while a hand from the side of the camera prods it.

According to reports, the nerves in the - very fresh - piece of meat were still live at the time of it being prepared, causing it to wriggle about.

Speaking about the bizarre incident, Tero said: "We were just a bit shocked and frightened, but after that we just pretended that it did not happen.

"We were a little freaked out because we didn't know about the phenomenon. It stopped moving when my mum decided to put it in the fridge.

"I was amazed by the netizens' comments because I can see there are plenty of people who know why it happened, but some of them are just as clueless as me!"

Tero added: "I don't like it when people get to know me because of twitching meat and not my talent, but that's fine!"

Last year, another strange video began doing the rounds on social media, appearing to show a slab of raw meat moving by itself - as though it had come back to life.

In the clip, the skinned animal - which people suggested to be everything from a chicken to a frog - can be seen piled upon a plate with other similar-looking pieces of meat.

However, it then seems to have had enough, hoisting itself up and moving towards the edge of the plate. It then takes a tumble off the plate and hits the deck.

Naturally, the woman who is about to prepare the meat begins to scream. I think a lot of the screaming I heard while watching the clip came from me, but some of it is definitely happening at the scene.

At the time, shocked social media users have lost their heads over the clip as they try to figure out what exactly is going on.
