MrBeast to give away all the money he made from 124m views after posting first full video to X to lucky fans

MrBeast to give away all the money he made from 124m views after posting first full video to X to lucky fans

MrBeast recently posted his first ever full video on X.

The giveaway king MrBeast has made a big promise to 10 lucky fans after posting his first full video on X.

The YouTuber - real name is Jimmy Donaldson - has over 234 million subscribers on the platform and hasn't ever felt like X was the right fit for his videos.

Despite being friends with X boss Elon Musk, the 25-year-old has previously snubbed the social media site due to financial reasons.

Because the production of his videos are so costly, it's never made sense for him to post on X.

In response to Musk encouraging him to upload a full video to his X account back in December, MrBeast said: “My videos cost millions to make and even if they got a billion views on X it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/.

“I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!”

However, X’s new ad-revenue-sharing was one of the big changes Musk brought into the platform last year.

As the name suggests, it means that content creators are given a share of revenue from the ads that are seen in the replies to their posts.

MrBeast admitted to being ‘curious’ about how much he could make on X.

MrBeast all of a sudden had a change of heart after admitting that he was ‘curious’ about the return he might get.

The YouTuber revealed he would be re-uploading his video $1 vs $100,000,000 Car! which he initially posted to YouTube in September, where it’s had more than 200 million views.

In a post on X, he wrote: "I'm curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I'm reuploading this to test it. Will share ad rev next week.”

In a new update, MrBeast shared: “MY FIRST X VIDEO MADE OVER $250,000!”

For us Brits, that equates to around £196,800.

But it seems that he’s still not convinced by the figures, as he added: “But it’s a bit of a facade. Advertisers saw the attention it was getting and bought ads on my video (I think) and thus my revenue per view is prob higher than what you’d experience.”

The YouTuber shared how much he made off the upload.

But in typical MrBeast fashion, he’s decided to give away the ad-revenue he pulled in for the video to a handful of lucky fans.

“I’m gonna give 10 random people that repost this and follow me $25,000 for fun (the $250,000 my X video made),” he posted on Monday (22 January) at 6:32pm.

“I’ll pick the winners in 72 hours.”

LADbible Group has contacted X and representatives for Elon Musk for comment.
