Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have called quits on their relationship.

After 10 years of marriage, and sex years of dating prior to that, the Hollywood couple have reached the end of their journey together.

The news was announced on the latest episode of Green's podcast, where he admitted they have spent time apart recently.

He said to his followers: "I will always love her. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family, what we have built is really cool and really special.

"It sucks when life changes and something that you're used to, that you've been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change.

"There's the unknown aspect... there's that pit in my stomach... I really don't want Megan and I to be at odds...

"She's been my best friend for 15 years and I don't want to lose that."

He admits that he and Megan still take their kids on family holidays and have agreed that a healthy relationship between them is vital for their children.

Rumours began about their relationship reaching an end after Megan was seen with her Midnight in the Switchgrass co-star Machine Gun Kelly. Megan and Brian have talked about whether anything was going on with MGK, real name Colson Baker, but the former Transformers star said they were just mates.

Green continued in his podcast: "She met this guy, Colson, on set... I've never met him... Megan and I have talked about him. They're just friends at this point."

"I trust her judgement, she's always had really good judgement. I don't want people to think her or he are villains or that I was a victim in any way."

Brian and Megan met on the set of Hope & Faith and began dating in 2004.

The couple sparked a bit of controversy because Fox was only 18 at the time and Brian was 30. The age gap gave Green some nerves and Megan had to convince him that he was making the right move by pursing her.

She said: "I had to convince him that I was slightly more responsible and well-spoken and had other things to bring to the table besides being 18."

But this isn't the first time they've broken up.

After getting married in 2010, Fox filed for divorce in 2015. A year later they were back together until May this year when news of their separation was announced by Green.
