People's Minds Blown After Discovering Chernobyl's Jared Harris Is Son Of Dumbledore

People have been left absolutely mind blown after finding out that Jared Harris and Richard Harris are father and son.

Without knowing the pair, you might think well, duh. So, let us break it down.

Richard, who passed away in 2002, played Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Following his death, Michael Gambon took over the part of Dumbledore for the later Harry Potter films.

Another added: "How have I gone all these years not knowing that Jared Harris is Richard Harris' son?"

Another wrote: "JARED HARRIS IS RICHARD HARRIS' SON HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS??? THEY EVEN SOUND THE SAME!!!!!"

They followed up with a late suggestion, adding: "Should have just let him replace his dad as Dumbledore to avoid the catastrophe of angry Gambon."

Speaking about how his late father kept his family life and work life separate on Larry King Live, Jared said: "He didn't mix it up, he kept those two world separate from us.

"I think mostly because he didn't want us to get influenced by it and have it turn our heads in some way and have a chance to make a rational, sensible decision about what kind of career you would follow.

"Fortunately, it didn't work for any of us."

He went on to add: "He initially wasn't [supportive] I have to say. I started to get interested in acting when I went to Duke University. My mother came to see me in a few plays and she said [to him] 'you should really go down and see him, he's good' and he said 'well you would say that, you're his mother'."

He then revealed the first time his father went to see him, adding: "He saw me in the play and I can remember really clearly, I can hear him laughing, the first laugh I got out of him... it was just such a thrill.

"His face afterwards when I saw him after the play and he was really excited and he said 'wow, you've got it, you've got it'. I think he was excited because we had something in common."
