Australian singer Sia has revealed she adopted two teenage boys last year.

The 'Chandelier' artist confirmed that she became a mum during an interview with GQ earlier this year, however it's since been explained that it was through an adoption program.

Speaking to Sirius XM Radio, the musician said: "I actually adopted two sons last year. They were both 18 - they're both 19 years old now. They were ageing out of the foster care system. Yeah, and I love them."

The 44-year-old said the boys have found it tough to adjust to living situations since the pandemic broke out.

"They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other," she said.

"But they're both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They're really doing a lot of educational stuff that's good for them."

The Adelaide-born singer didn't reveal anything more about them, which is in keeping with her wish to largely stay out of the public eye.

Following her split from filmmaker Erik Lang in 2016, Sia made a commitment to stay single forever.

While she made it clear she doesn't want a relationship, she did hit up one of her longtime business partners for a no-strings-attached fling.

Sia revealed in the GQ interview that she sent the following message to producer Diplo: "Hey, listen, you're like one of five people that I'm sexually attracted to, and now that I've decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don't have time for a relationship...If you're interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up."

It's not known whether Diplo took her up on the offer.
