Davina McCall responds to people being told that she's 'died' in viral TikTok trend

Davina McCall responds to people being told that she's 'died' in viral TikTok trend

She's been called an 'icon' for her hilarious reply

A viral video showing a TikToker telling his family members that Davina McCall died has been doing the rounds online. Check it out:

News flash: she's definitely not dead. And do you know how we can confirm that? Because the former Big Brother host responded to the clip herself.

And it's safe to say her reply is hilarious.

The whole thing started thanks to TikTok user @atilla.the.hunty, who can be seen telling his relatives: "Oh my god, Davina McCall found dead, 55."

Three people who appear to be his parents and grandma all gasp in shock before the dad says: "This happened last time I had Christmas here."

He adds, "When George Michael died," before the mum interjects, "Bit different."

As well as more than 800,000 views, the video has received hundreds of comments, with many people amused by the parents' reaction.

"'Bit different' Absolutely crying," wrote one, while another asked, "Is he blaming the house?"

People thought their reaction was hilarious.

A third chimed in, "The nan's blank confusion hahaha," with a fourth adding, "How is it different? George Michael was only 53!"

It's a good thing McCall is on the app, as she was able to clear up any confusion herself.

Taking to the comments section, she joked: "Tbh I need more of a reaction than that," alongside a laughing emoji.

She raises a good point - I'd want at least one of them to shed a tear over the news if I were her.

Thankfully the TV presenter saw the funny side of it all, with one calling her an 'icon' for her reply.

A second said: "FINALLY! One of the celebrities replied to one of these. Amazing."

Elsewhere in Davina McCall land, the 55-year-old – who we've now established definitely isn't dead – is set to return as a judge on the next season of The Masked Singer UK.

Speaking about the new round, which starts on 1 January on ITV1 and ITVX, McCall said that some of the performances are so good they brought her to tears.

The TV presenter is alive and well, folks.

She said: "Jellyfish is an extraordinary performer and has made us all feel pretty emotional. Rhino, as well, has been particularly emotive.

"There are people who completely draw you in. It’s lucky for Rhino, actually, that they can pull some emotion out of the bag, because it's very, very hard in that costume to give us anything at all.

"They are massive, and they are quite humble. They keep putting their little hooves together, it looks so sweet.

"If it's possible to have a sweet rhino, this is it."
