A personal trainer reckons he looks so much like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson that he gets stopped in the street by people and treated like a star.

What do you reckon?

The Rock is obviously a huge and recognisable guy, but this dude definitely does have something of his look about him.

The movie star and former WWE champion makes normal folks look tiny in comparison, but Antonio Muratore is massive too, and he says that people mistake him for the Ballers star all the time.

What do you think?

He’s even got tattoos that are done up to look like Johnson’s.

The personal trainer from Milan clearly likes the comparison, and it’s hard to blame him, given the sort of treatment that The Rock must get when he travels around the world.

The 54-year-old says that he attracts a crowd wherever he goes, with everyone wanting to get a picture of him due to his resemblance to one of the world’s most recognisable stars.

It’s been a ‘life-changing’ thing for him, looking like Dwayne Johnson.

Antonio said: “It's an incredible situation to look like him.

"In general I'm quite a private person and I don't like a lot of attention - but I never tire of this because it makes people happy.

"I would do anything to meet him one day."

At first, he says he didn’t see the resemblance, but over the years he has come to accept and even enjoy it.

"It was about ten years ago when a friend first told me I looked like The Rock,” he added.

"Over the years people started to stop and ask me for pictures wherever I would go.

"It's been at a hotel, in restaurants, on the beach - it happens continuously.

"Once someone followed me down the road for 15 minutes.

“That was a bit stressful. But normally I'm always happy to take a picture.

"I feel very lucky to look like him because he is a great person, a champion in sport and in life.”

One day, Antonio hopes to meet his hero.

He’s even been to see some films that The Rock was starring in, which naturally attracts a bit of attention from his fans.

Antonio continued: “At the end of the movie everyone went out and just a few kids left.

"When the light went on the kids saw me and started to scream, 'The Rock! The Rock!

"Everyone ran back into the cinema for a picture. It was a crazy situation."

He now works part-time as an actor – though not quite with the success of his famous counterpart – and has had 50 tattoos to increase the likeness, hoping that might get him a gig as a body double.

But, when he’s on the beach, people spot his tatts and come running.

"It happens continuously. I get treated like a celebrity all the way through summer,” he said.

Antonio says he loves being mistaken for The Rock.
SWNS

"I stand and pose for pictures all the time, I'm always happy to stop and take a picture.

"Sometimes even when they find out I'm not really him, they want a picture anyway and that's fine by me."

"In personality I am a private person and I don’t like the attention.

"But when I get attention as the Rock it makes me happy.

"When people call me as his name and recognise me as his double I feel happy I look like somebody great.

"When I'm feeling bad, just when someone says, 'Hey look, it's The Rock' - and I am happy again."

Antonio says he was offered work as The Rock’s body double once, but Covid-19 put pay to his dream.

Now, he’s got a different dream altogether, wanting to fight his famous doppelganger, utilising his Thai boxing skills.

"I do Thai boxing and if I can fight him in that, I think I might have a chance,” he explained.

“My mother thinks I would win!”

Let’s not forget that The Rock was a professional wrestler and played American Football, too, he’s probably fairly handy in a scrap.

If you're reading this Dwayne - let's get a meeting sorted.

We'll sort everything out, just get in touch.
