Earlier this morning Stranger Things finally dropped on Netflix and fans have gone wild after waiting for almost two years.
The highly-anticipated third season has eight brand new episodes that some fans have spent the majority of the day binge-watching their way through (when do you people sleep/work?!)
The series is clearly going down a treat with the first reviews propelling it to a 'Certified Fresh' status on Rotten Tomatoes in record timing.
With the tomatometer currently fixed at 95 per cent and an audience score of 93 per cent it wasn't a surprise to see people raving about it on social media.

stranger things is one of those things when you get to the end of the season you are left devastated for days and can't move on because you just need more of it.

Some fans were even reduced to tears with one writing: "I just finished watching Stranger Things 3 and the last episode had me crying for 40 mins and I never cry at movies or shows what THE F**K".
Another added: "F**k.... Stranger Things Season 3 destroyed me. Haven't cried that much since Endgame."

Not everyone was on the same page though, with one person tweeting: "I expected nothing and still got disappointed.
It's just a #StrangerThings3-thing. Not that I don't like the show, but come on!"
Another said: "i appreciate STRANGER THINGS might work for some but for me, it's one of the most insidiously awful works of mainstream culture."
There's just no pleasing some people.
