"So what are we waiting for, let's get cracking on another All Aussie Adventure".

When you look back on Australian TV there are some absolute standouts.

You've got your stock standard Home and Away and Neighbours, which has collectively launched so many Aussie actor's careers; you've got Kath and Kim, Summer Heights High, Round the Twist, Blue Heelers, Underbelly, McLeod's Daughters...I could go on.

But few match the brilliance, intellect, beauty, grace and poise seen in Russell Coight's All Aussie Adventures.

Can you believe that the first episode of the show premiered on our tellies a whopping 18 years ago today?

The pilot was about Russell who 'heads North to help an old mate with the annual cattle muster. Along the way he searches for some bush tucker, helps a motorist who has run into trouble, and offers us many invaluable tips for survival situations in the outback.'

Glenn Robbins played the role of the all-Aussie outback genius that would take people on a tru-blu journey across the Land Down Under to see all her incredible features.

Sadly though, Russell was a bit of a klutz and would often find himself in a spot of bother or in serious injury.

The show managed to get three seasons and a TV movie before it was eventually discontinued. It first came out in 2001 and the movie was released in 2004; it wasn't until last year that we had a small revival in the shape of seven episodes.

The show was meant to parody the likes of Steve Irwin, the Leyland Brothers, The Bush Tucker Man, Malcolm Douglas, Ben Cropp, Harry Butler and Alby Mangels.

There's no denying the show was a bloody fan favourite.

"If your looking for a show that gives you a few laughs then Aussie Adventures is the show for you. Yes, the jokes are corny and most of the time you can see what's going to happen a mile away but WHO CARES!" wrote one review.

"I have been watching the new series and it is hilarious. All Aussie Adventures captures the essence of classic Australian comedy that does not other wise exist in 2018," said another viewer.

A third person added: "This is by far one of the funniest shows on television. If you've never watched it, you're missing out. Even people who don't like this silly type of humour will get a giggle."

So fingers are crossed that the producers will realise they need to bring it back to our screens.
