Simon Cowell apologised after making an insensitive joke to Xtra Factor presenter Rylan Clark-Neal on live TV this weekend.
Saturday's live show saw judges choosing which fan question to answer from behind a set of front doors and, as the questioning started, Rylan said: "I love a front door." Simon said in reply: "I thought you liked a back door."

There were gasps from the audience and it seemed as though Simon regretted it as soon as he said it.

He turned away from the camera and said: "I shouldn't have said that." No, Simon, you shouldn't. He added: "Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry."
Rylan didn't seem too put out by the joke and quickly shot back: "Oh, Simon! Shall I show you how much? He then said: "It's alright; I'll get over it."
Naturally, people took to Twitter to blast Simon for his homophobic comment.
The outpouring on social media led to Rylan posting his own opinion on the joke.
It wasn't just Simon who caused controversy on the show this weekend. Viewers called out Little Mix for dressing like 'strippers' and 'looking like 'prostitutes' when they performed. Harsh.
The X Factor will be back next week on ITV at 8pm and we'll be watching to see what happens this time.
