The second season of Stranger Things is currently in development. And now a casting call that was recently made by the show producers, hinted that there might be an army of Elevens in the coming series.

Writing in the casting call, the makers of the shows said that they were looking for men and women who 'looked like they were from the 80s', to work as background extras. They were also looking for females who were willing to have their hair chopped down to a buzzcut. All ethnicities are welcome, provided that they were at least 17 years old.

Fans of Stranger Things are now speculating that there might be an 'army' of Elevens coming in the new season.

The original Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), was a young woman with a buzz cut and tattoo, and the casting call seems to imply they're looking for women who are willing to look similar to her. Eleven's age is much younger than 17, so it might mean that there may be older versions of her.

Meanwhile last month the Duffer Brothers (the brains behind the show) revealed some details about Season Two.

The second series will be set around the same time as the first. The brothers considered the 'fast-forward' approach, but it looks like 1984 has won.

They told Entertainment Weekly: "I think we talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it's a different decade. That's something we batted around from the very beginning. But for us, there's still more story here [1980s], there's still things that are unresolved."

That sounds like all the characters you know and love will be back. Apart from Barb, obviously. But what about Eleven?

Ross Duffer said: "We don't know about Eleven. We leave that up in the air."

They also revealed that there will be four new main characters for us to enjoy. Matt Duffer said: "There's going to be a lot of new and interesting dynamics that we didn't see in season 1."

The brothers have been looking at each season as a 'movie'. So, obviously, season two will be the sequel. They said: "I know movie sequels get a lot of shit, but the ones we look up to aspire to pivot and do something different.

"There's Temple of Doom, Aliens, Terminator 2. I guess a lot of this is James Cameron. But he's brilliant. And I think one of the reasons his sequels are as successful as they are is he makes them feel very different without losing what we loved about the original. So I think we kinda looked to him and what he does and tried to capture a little bit of the magic of his work."

Upside Down will be explored much more thoroughly. Matt said: "We kinda just peeled back the curtain and revealed a tiny bit of the Upside Down. So we definitely want to explore a little bit more. There's a lot we don't know about the Upside Down at the end of season 1."

Ross added: "We obviously have this gate to another dimension, which is still very much open in the town of Hawkins. And a lot of questions there in terms of, if the Monster is dead, was it a singular monster? What else could be out there? We really don't go in there much until they go in to find Will at the end. So we've opened up this doorway, and to us it's exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there? There's a lot more mystery there to be solved."

So there you have it. Loads of stuff to think about. In the meantime, it seems we've got fuck all to watch.
