'No Man's Sky' Adds Multiplayer, Third Person Mode In Free Update

'No Man's Sky' Adds Multiplayer, Third Person Mode In Free Update

No Man's Sky's hype died out quite quickly, mostly due to an under populated gaming world and fidgety controls.

A new free update is set to expand the game - and add a third person mode to the space-exploring adventure. No Mans's Sky Next is set to expand the game world with a fleshed-out multiplayer, third person content and a whole host of new, ringed planets.

The graphics are overhauled as well as the addition of new gameplay styles, including the ability to build your base on any planet, rather than the limited amounts that were available before.

The press release offers insight into multiplayer, stating it'll give players the chance to 'help friends to stay alive, or pray on others to survive'.

Check out the trailer above to get excited for the new content headed to the game - although some will say these features should have been included in the game since launch, there has never been a better time to check the exploration-based game out than now.

The free update coincides with the games Xbox One release, which will come fully fleshed out with Next content.

As for when it hits, 24 July will see the update pushed to all pre-purchased games on PS4 and PC and all following purchases of the game will come with the content ready to use on update.
