James 'Jay from The Inbetweeners' Buckley has said he'll never let his kids watch his on-screen antics.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, he revealed that he's not keen on his offspring seeing some of the scenes that sprung him to fame, which is fair enough when you remember some of the stuff he got up to as Jay.

Also, from his kid's point of view, who would want to watch a TV show where you're likely to see the teenage version of your da trying to have a w**k while a dog watches on? No thanks.

Buckley, now 31, was on the show to promote his show Zapped, when he revealed: "I would never let them watch The Inbetweeners.

"It's different for me as I'm supposed to be their dad. I don't want them to see me behaving in that way. I already have very little respect from them to begin with and I don't want to lose it completely."

However, Piers was quick to point out that the internet is a pretty small place and that, at some point, his kids are bound to end up seeing clips.

The show ran for three series and spawned two movies before they called it day after the second film in 2014. Since then, fans have begged for another series, however, the show's cast have poured cold water on the idea.

James has previously said the show wouldn't be allowed today as it's so offensive.

Buckley has refused to let his kids watch the iconic series.

Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: "I think that when The Inbetweeners was around, everyone understood the context - that they were kids.

"There used to be a sympathy, where you could almost forgive them, because you can't really have a go at someone for being stupid - that's not really their fault.

"Nowadays, it feels very black and white with comedy. There's no in-between, it's just, 'This person said this on television - isn't that terrible?'"

"It's killing comedy, because you're not allowed to joke about anything, it seems. There seems to be a joke police, nowadays."

He added: "It seems to be cool at the moment to be offended by stuff, and that's a shame. It seems to be in vogue at the moment, and I'm hoping it will pass, because I do think that possibly people would maybe be more offended by The Inbetweeners if it was to be made today. Which is really weird, because it's only 10 years. It's only four years since we finished."
