The son of Bob Odenkirk has revealed the Better Call Saul star is going to be 'okay' after collapsing on set.

The 58-year-old actor was rushed to hospital while shooting scenes in New Mexico and has been under medical care since.

Bob's son Nate simply wrote on Twitter: "He's going to be okay."

A statement from Odenkirk's family has thanked everyone for their support and he is overwhelmed by everyone's well wishes.

"We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart-related incident," the statement said.

"He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side.

"The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery."

The sixth season of Better Call Saul, where Odenkirk plays shonky lawyer Saul Goodman, was meant to be released later this year.

However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, shooting had to be delayed until the set could be determined safe for all cast and crew.
