Eminem’s New Single ‘Walk On Water’ Is Finally Here And It Features Beyoncé
| Last updated
Rap god Eminem has dropped his latest single 'Walk on Water', featuring Beyoncé, from his upcoming album, Revival. Fans have been excitedly waiting for new material, with his last album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 coming out four years ago.
The 45-year-old teased fans with the new song's title on social media, which also semi-confirmed the album's name as well.
Eminem has been working on this latest batch of material since last year, with rumours circulating it was going to be released at the end of 2016.
The alleged track list was leaked and which claimed some of the collaborators on Revival would be Adele, Chance the Rapper, Kid Cudi, Vince Staples and The Weeknd.
Real name Marshall Mathers sparked more speculation the album was dropping soon when he was announced to be performing at three festivals in Reading, Leeds and Glasgow. People surely thought if he was taking to the stage, he'd be releasing the album beforehand, but he entertained everyone with his legendary old songs.
He posted a clip to Twitter with a 'spokesperson' for the company, saying you'd be able to walk on water with Revival.
Cheeky, very cheeky.
If you're wondering when you'll get to see the star perform his latest single, it's sooner than you'd think. Eminem will be taking to the stage in London for the MTV EMAs this Sunday, which will be his fourth performance at the European music award show.
Executive producer of the MTV EMAs says: "With 35 EMA nominations and 15 wins under his belt, Eminem is no stranger to the EMAs and we're thrilled to announce his highly anticipated debut will take place at our biggest night in music."
He'll join a bevy of other big-name artists on stage, including Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Liam Payne, Camila Cabello, Kesha, The Killers, Stormzy, Travis Scott, French Montana, David Guetta and Clean Bandit.
James Bay, Jared Leto, Daya, Natalie Dormer, Madison Beer and Sabrina Carpenter will also present awards at the show.
In 2013, Eminem was honoured with the MTV Global Icon Award and also won Best Hip Hop Artist, but those were just two gongs which make up the rapper's very extensive list of awards and nominations.
He's won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for 'Lose Yourself', he has 15 Grammys and his second major record, The Marshall Mathers LP, is the fastest-selling solo album in US history.
Not a bad list of accolades.
