Rapper Young Dolph has been shot and killed in Memphis, according to local media reports.
The 36-year-old was gunned down this afternoon (Wednesday 17 November) at a bakery where he was buying cookies.
The owner of the store told FOX13 that he had gone inside before someone drove up and shot him at around 1pm.
The outlet reports that three independent law enforcement sources have confirmed the musician - whose real name is Adolph Robert Thornton Jr - is the person who has been killed.
A Memphis Police Department spokesperson told LADbible: "Officers are on the scene of a shooting at 2370 Airways. One male victim was located and was pronounced dead. No suspect info is available at this time.
"The victim will be identified once the next of kin notification has been completed.
"Please call 901-528-CASH with tips."
As news crews arrived, they noted that Young Dolph's Lamborghini is outside in the parking lot of the bakery.
FOX13 reported that massive crowds were beginning to gather with some people lying on the ground in tears.
The channel spoke to one woman at the scene who said: "This is going to grow into something more. This is not the end... this is going to cause a slew of retaliations because that was for nothing.
"That's a father, that's a brother, that's a son, that's a nephew. Other than being a superstar, that's somebody's child right there, that's somebody's nephew right there, that's somebody's father right there."
